We have a used U.S. Military Surplus Springfield Armory M1 Garand for sale. This rifle comes chambered in .30-06 SPRG with a 24" barrel. The M1 Garand was made in large numbers during World War II; approximately 5.4 million were made. They were used by every branch of the United States military. The rifle generally performed well. General George S. Patton called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised." The M1 Garand is a .30-06 caliber semi-automatic rifle that was the standard U.S. service rifle during World War II and the Korean War and also saw limited service during the Vietnam War. Most M1 rifles were issued to U.S. forces, though many hundreds of thousands were also provided as foreign aid to American allies. This rifle comes as shown in pictures, and is SOLD AS-IS. The receiver is marked Springfield Armory U.S. Rifle Cal .30 M1, and is dated to approx 1942 production. The barrel matching Springfield Armory is dated 1965 denoting rearsenal after World War II, and the Korean War, with an HRA trigger pack. The stock appears original to the rifle with a visible "P" cartouche. This is in Fair to Poor Surplus Condition. Both the rifle, receiver, and barrel show signs of pitting with some surface rust, and the top handguard is broken, in conjunction with a poor stock. The barrel rifling is dark, and crusty, as seen in the pictures. This rifle would make a good restoration project or parts project. Check out the pictures and feel free to call or email with any questions.
