Admittedly, a wallet is not something I put much thought into. There’s a new one in my stocking every other year, and it always gets filled with business cards, folded up notes I jotted down so I wouldn’t forget (and subsequently do forget), and about a half dozen payment methods and ID cards. Such has been the routine for years. But, is that the way it’s supposed to be?
As it turns out? No. Change is good, and your wallet shouldn’t be just that lump in your back pocket that you have to remove everywhere you go so you aren’t impersonating the leaning tower of Piza. Allett set out to modernize the ancient concept of the wallet in 1995. Since then they have developed a line of innovative wallets for several purposes. The Hybrid Card wallet is what I would call perfect for the modern streamlined lifestyle. It’s small, it’s tough, and it’s extremely efficient. Opulence is not the image projected here, purpose is. Built to look like a tool, this wallet has no fancy embossing or stitching, Allett instead opts to pack the thing full of usefulness, and security.
My Hybrid Card holder is all nylon. They offer a version with a leather outer shell, but I feel like this distracts from the whole purpose of the thing, its SLIM. I mean thinner than a pencil, thinner than my phone, thinner than the “dog ate my homework” story. When you’re used to a wallet that is over an inch thick, packing one this small is shocking. My pockets have actually stretched to fit my old wallet over the years, and I’ve found myself patting my pocket to make sure this thing hasn’t fallen out. It’s a fantastic size. It will fit in a shirt pocket and not pull the shirt, and it will actually even fit in the change pocket of my jeans. Perhaps the most important feature of this wallet however, is the RFID security it offers. In today’s society, thieves are everywhere. And they no longer need to be skilled enough to lift your wallet from you to get your information. Allet has got you covered there too. We tested this RFID shield ourselves and we can say for sure that it works, and it works well.

When you stamp "Made in California" on it, I'm out. Nothing against the state, per se, but if anything, it should say "Made in the U.S.A." Do that and I'll buy one for me and one for each of my three sons!
