An actress with a large social media following poses with a gun, and the comments reveal the real heart of America.
It's sad that anyone in America should think it's a big deal to go to a shooting range and take a course. Learning how to safely operate a firearm, and doing so at a shooting range should be one of the most non-controversial topics of all time. It is genuinely sad that basic firearms education causes any controversy whatsoever. Fortunately that was a very small portion of the comments. The encouraging part is that modern social media allows us to see what users actually think, not just what some fake news person chooses to say about a topic. And from the comments it is clear that while some people don't support her new hobby, plenty are supportive of both the Second Amendment, and her willingness to share her training. Here are some of the positive comments.
We firmly support her seeking out training. It is our position that this sort of basic firearms education should be mandatory in the public school system. It is a wild conundrum of the "progressive" agenda. The solution to reduce unplanned pregnancies is increased sex education. The same "progressive" ideology has a different solution for accidental death by firearm, learn nothing about the subject, and blame people with the knowledge and experience to help fix the problem, for incidents of which they had no part. Obviously that is a topic for another day.
While the picture causing most of the stir is her posing with a small handgun in a holster, she also snapped a photo with a pump shotgun and what appears to be an FN SCAR.
Interestingly enough, she cannot legally own a handgun in the state of California until she is 21 years of age.

Anyone who has a gun or wants to purchase one or more should be going to range for practice and training to be responsible gun owner and practice 3-6 times a year not just after you buy it and then think you are good at it, practice practice practice a must.

We've all brought our girlfriends or wives to the range and if it's their first trip 99% of the time they "take a selfie" with some random gun. I see it all the time when I go to my range. I wouldn't necessarily say she is "pro 2nd amendment", unless of course she said she was! But good for her for going to the range, wish I had a FNSCAR!

I call bs on this. If she is really so pro 2a do some good and fight the unconstitutional gun laws in California. Instead she is probably part of the celeb elite that feels they are okay for her, but not others.

I Commend her for Standing up for her rights and not being like the other Liberals in Hollywood! Aerial Winters you can always come to the Range I go to! It's also funny that all the actors that are anti-gun, actually makes movies with them using guns! That's calling the kettle black!
