Dear Armslist Community,

We are thrilled to announce some exciting new features coming next week!

Many of you have been asking, and we listened. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are happy to introduce these changes to enhance your experience on Armslist.

What’s New?

Profile Photos: Personal users will now have the option to upload a profile photo. Make your profile stand out with a picture that represents you!

Seller Bio/About Section: You can now write a seller bio or about section. Share a little bit about yourself and your interests to connect better with other users.

Seller Reviews: We are implementing a seller review system. This will allow users to leave feedback and help build a trustworthy community.

Important Notice About Usernames:

With these new features, usernames will now be visible on your profile page.

If your current username includes your full name or any personal information, we recommend changing it to something less personal.

To update your username, please email us at [email protected] or call 724-578-4740, and we will assist you with the change.

Hi! On your main account menu, there should be an "Additonal Info" tab. You can add a photo and other information there.

As a dealer on Armslist I am getting virtually zero buyers anymore! I like the pricing for dealers but like the other comments are saying it seems impossible for buyers to find specific guns when they search for them.Also, hcarging people a fee to look for guns is a bad idea if that is how its done now. Its no wonder all the customers have gone to elsewhere. No one wants to pay just to look. I also think a rating system is a terrible idea. If I had an easy way to move all my listings to gunbroker right now I would do it. My business would probably increase 400%.

We do appreciate your feedback and will look into improving the search function. As a dealer (Premium Vendor), do keep in mind that your listings & contact info are always available to anybody using the site, paying member or not. It's always a good idea for vendors to list as many items as possible, more listings = more sales & exposure.

I see stuff here all the time I would like to purchase but no one ever puts any contact info in the listing. $7 to look at 200 items in my area seems excessive when 180 of them are the stuff that hasn't sold in a year because overpriced, undeleted after sell, or no reply when contacted. $2.99, maybe? $6.99, nah.

This is a welcome feature you are implementing. I would also like to see more action on combating spammers. A satisfaction rated scale on each transaction would alert potential buyers to stay away from certain sellers. To me it is infuriating to see my money being ripped off by some low life and nothing is done about it. Thanks foe listening. Don

How do I look for a specific Make and model of firearm? I input 36 for a Model 36 S&W. I received back over 300 listings and the none were model 36's.

I just wish you'd get rid of ads for folks who pay monthly fees. when it was free, I considered it the price I had to pay to use the service. now you make me pay and I still have to watch those ridiculous ads - that now follow me down the page. super effing annoying.

Putting user names on the listings, and making us jump through e-mailing hoops to change them, sounds like a way to make it easier for the ATF to track us down.

you still haven't corrected all of your website search flaws as I have mentioned several times now. Like searching for an item will get different results depending on the spelling, caps, no caps, hyphens, same goes with your "Power Search", which is just as useless.

Thank you! I was 1 that complained about having reviews because we have azzholes on here setting up meets with NO intention to pull up or we have scammers looking to rob you once your on scene.

Reviews are a much better idea. More details about the transaction, the seller, and the item can be posted. All make for more piece of mind you're not going to get ripped off.

You think we're not already in their database and being monitored just for starting an account on here? I assure you there are dossiers on everyone on here already, so might as well have some transparency about who you make a potential trade with. That's how I see it anyway.
