Europeans made copies of the US GI WWII "pot" helmet. This one is made in Austria and is new military surplus.  These are great for the collector or those participating in mock battles.

The legendary American M1 steel helmet saw active service from 1941 to the late 80's. It became the iconic piece of NATO headwear fashion - almost every Western country made their own versions of it.

When WW2 was over and NATO was formed, most member countries adopted the M1 helmet and made their own variations of it. This pot retains the key elements of the US model: the same distinctive shape, the two-part construction.
