We have a used surplus Springfield 1903 bolt action rifle for sale. This rifle comes chambered in .30-06SPRG with a 24" barrel. This comes as shown in pictures. This rifle was manufactured in 1909 with what appears to be all matching parts with visible cartouches and the stock is correct and features the Cartouche of J.F. Coyle or "JFC" who inspected rifles produced from 1904-1918. This is in Good Surplus Condition. There are those who, with some justification, consider the U.S. Model 1903 Springfield to be the most beautiful bolt-action military rifle ever issued. This opinion has considerable merit — but aside from being sleek and stylish, the 1903 Springfield is also, beautifully made, reliable, rugged and accurate. M1903 rifles made before February 1918 utilized receivers and bolts which were single heat-treated by a method that rendered some of them brittle and liable to fracture when fired. These are denoted by serial numbers lower than "800000". This particular rifle is as such one of those and has been confirmed by serial number. As such this is a collectors rifle, but with proper circumstances can still be shot. For more information on the rifle check out the Civilian Marksmanship Program webpage for more information. Check out the pictures and feel free to call or email with any questions.
