I usually don't buy or sell antique firearms because I don't know much about them. I acquired this recently and all I know about it is what I was told when I purchased it. *If you can school me on it, please do so. Here is what I believe to be accurate.

This is a Remington Rolling Block Chambered in .45-70 Gov't. It has one barrel band with a 27" Round Barrel, Front Blade Sight, Fixed Rear Sight, Brass Buttplate. There is .45-70 brass casing inlaid on the side of the stock. It has been re-blued and the stock has been refinished sometime in its past. The barrel has some old surface pits. I was told that it was probably made in the 1880s but since it is devoid of any markings and with my lack of knowledge on this type of firearm I can't be sure. The action feels strong and appears to function as designed. I haven't fired this firearm. Take a look at the pictures.
