The Ruger American rifle series has a three lug bolt with a 70 degree bolt throw allowing for ease of operation and minimal interference with an optic. The bolt’s robust design allows for smooth operation and durability. The cold hammer forged barrel will retain its accuracy shot after shot. The receiver has a picatinny rail already mounted, making the optic mounting process that much easier. This compact .243 would make for a great deer rifle to carry in thick brush and through woodlands.
