Enfield rifle manufactured at BSA in England. This is marked as a 1917, but is not the 30-06 import version familiar to America with the rear sight behind the receiver. This is a No1 Mk3 action chambered in 303 British. Barrel is still good, and has been professionally cleaned. Action has been serviced and is smooth. Bolt and magazine have been replaced. Stock is in beautiful condition. Shows signs of professional repairs in the way of pinning internally to strengthen and stabilize the wood. The gunsmiths at Kiloton only replaced the missing parts, conditioned the wood, touched up the metal bluing, cleaned, and serviced the rifle. Shoots accurately with acceptable headspace. Wood stock still bears original armory stamp clear as day. Comes with a very nice padded leather sling we also cleaned and conditioned. It was good enough for your grand daddy to hunt with, and it will be good enough for you. Just a warning: if you hunt deer in the South East US with this it is possible you will blow both of the front legs and shoulders off these tiny deer with a chest shot.
