They wanted to create a new system that would operate the same, but wouldnt get hung up on gear as easily, but would still retain its reliability and toughness. So they went back to the drawing board and designed a Charging Handle unlike any other. They decided on high-end 7075-T6 aluminum, which is known for having strength comparable to steel, for the body of the handle. And they decided to go with forged aluminum for the process of manufacturing the handles. Forged aluminum means that extreme pressure is used to press the alumnium into a mold or shape to form the body of the basic charging handle, creating stronger parts overall. After the part is pressed into the mold, it is machined to create the details and get it to the final specs, then it is Anodized or Cerakoted in the chosen color.

The Strike Industries Latchless Charging Handle utilizes a covert “U” shaped spring inside to secure the charging handle to the locking area inside the receiver’s charging handle slot. In addition to minimizing the parts involved, which also minimizes parts that could break or fail, the entire system, other than the spring, is one solid piece of forged aluminum. You may also noticed that on each side of the grip portion of the Latchless Charging Handle, there are 2 threaded holes (One on each side). These holes are there for attaching the popular Strike Industries ISO Tabs. The ISO Tabs extend the grip area of the Latchless Charging Handle so you can easily get a hold of those “wings”, and provide some additional aesthetics if you choose a color that goes with your build.
