This is a very nice Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle in 308. This rifle had exactly 30 rounds through it before it became a safe queen then ours. We had the barreled action, stock and muzzle device professionally Cerakoted in OD Green by Rouge Custom Kote in Broadway, North Carolina--it came out as beautifully as it is practical. The Cerakote makes it *actually* "all-weather", and OD Green is an excellent color to blend in with many American environments, especially in the Southeast. It's a great deer rifle as it sits. The "GSR" is a lightweight detachable box-magazine fed bolt-action carbine with a handy 16" threaded barrel. The rifle has very functional iron sights with a ghost ring in the rear and a shaded front sight post, as well as a forward 1913 rail for mounting optics--this carbine is often run with a lightweight and quick red-dot, as well as a 'scope. There are front and rear sling mounts. The GSR is an excellent platform to host a titanium/lightweight suppressor; in such a handy package subsonic 308 becomes an option for critter control, while full-pressure hunting and defensive cartridges are hearing safe. This rifle includes two Ruger brand 10-round magazines and one magazine dust cover. The GSR takes all AICS pattern magazines, making mag's abundant in several capacity options. Ruger markets the Gunsite Scout Rifle as the "rifle to own if you could only have one"; that sounds about right to me. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, and thanks for your interest.
