Manufacturer: Colt
Model: Single Action Army
Caliber: 45 ColtNew / Used: Used
This is a Colt Single Action Army first generation built in 1874. The barrel has been cut to 5” from the original 7.5”, a fairly common practice back in those days. The ejector rod housing is gone. The finish shows heavy patina from a long history of use, but there is no heavy pitting. The proof marks are intact and easy to see. The condition of the wood grips is a match for the gun. The internals need a bit of gunsmithing to the cylinder to lock up properly. This numbers matching Colt is an honest collector piece as well as a true piece of history. It this thing could talk it would surely have some stories to tell. This is an antique and can be shipped without an FFL.
