Muscle Firearms presents this 1902 Parker Brothers DH Grade Side by Side Shotgun for sale. This DH Grade has special characteristics that makes it more collectible to include a more finely finish with more profuse engraving.  This shotgun features a single trigger with ventilated ribbed 30" Titanic Barrels with excellent bores. The stock configuration is with a pistol grip and it also exhibits a size 2 frame with a beautiful Beavertail forearm.  The specifics were: Length of Pull 15"; Drop at Comb of 2 1/2"; Drop at Heel of 3 1/2"; Weight of 8 1/4 - 8 1/2 pounds. Special instructions were flat rib and no safety.

Approximately 9,346 DH Grade shotguns were made and about 6,330 were made in 12 guage.  This shotgun was purchased for G.W. Blessing in Jeffersonville, OH on March 2, 1902 was sent back to the manufacturer shortly after delivery and a single trigger, safety, and vented rib was added to the shotgun.  Although this is not one of the 280 DH Grade shotguns that left the manufacturer with single triggers nor is it one of the 280 that left the manufacturer with vented ribbed barrels, it is one of a few that had both of these items added after delivery. 

A recoil pad has been added and the front sight and grip cap are not original to the gun.  Overall, this shotgun present at approximately 80% and is in GOOD to VERY GOOD condition. 

Parker Brothers is perhaps the best known of all American shotgun manufacturers.  They mostly produced shotguns from 1867 - 1942 in which approximately 242,000 guns were produced in various grades, and are widely considered the finest and most collectible American shotgun.  It was also the gun of choice by several celebrities such as: Annie Oakley, Frank Butler, Clark Gable, as well as the top ranked competition shooters of the day.

The 2021 Standard Catalog of Firearms 31st Edition gives an estimated valued between $6,000 - $7,500.
