DISCLAIMER--We have about 15 unique variants of this 8mm ammo. There's a chance you may get something slightly different than what's pictured. What you can count on though is that you will receive German WWII Era brass 8mm. There is a chance that you may receive S.S. instead of S.M.K. We are extremely reasonable and can work with whatever concerns you have before you order if it is important to you to receive a specific variant/head stamp, or whatever else you might want. If you do no specify beforehand, however, there's a possibility what you will receive is slightly different than what is pictured. In any event, what you will be receiving will be a remarkable value and of historical import.
German S.M.K. 8mm Mauser Armor Piercing Ammo. Packaged in original 15rd Box. This ammo is brass cased, corrosive, and as far as we can tell, 1937 and 1939 production. Hardened steel core projectile. This ammo appears to have been stored well as the boxes we opened did not show any signs of corrosion. Great addition to your collection! This ammo is beyond cool. The craftsmanship is apparent not only in the cartridges but as well as the packaging. These come in boxes of 15, and sleeves of 300. The sleeves come with fabric handles which for the most part are still intact. This is the neatest surplus ammo we have ever had in stock.
Original WW2 German 8mm (aka 7.92x57 or 8x57) 178gr AP FMJ ammo. This is German military surplus ammo from World War II, made in 1943 by HLB (Metallwarenfabrik Treuenbrietzen G.m.b.H., Werk Selterhof, Germany.) It is marked S.m.K (Spitzgeschoss mit Kern) which is "pointed bullet with core" indicating steel core armor piercing. It has the lacquered steel case, and a corrosive primer. Comes in 15rd boxes. (20 boxes come in a 300rd sleeve.)
This is 80+ year old ammo and no way to say where its been sitting and what has been done with it in the past. Sold As-is. We can't guarantee that this ammo will shoot, or whether it will be safe to shoot. What we can guarantee is this great ammo to collect for any WWII enthusiast or hstory buff.
