Winchester – 1886 – 45-70 Stk# C413

This Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle Chambered in 45-70 was Mfg. in 1888 and has a 26” patinaed octagon barrel mounted with an original Winchester adjustable ladder rear sight and blade front sight. The bore is fair condition with very faint rifling and scattered pitting. The top flat of the barrel is stamped with 45-70 and Manufactured by the Winchester’s Repeating Arms. New Haven CT. The Walnut butt stock with patinaed Crescent butt plate and the forend are attached to the patinaed receiver. The upper tang is stamped with Model 1886, and the lower tang is stamped with PAT. OCT 14 1884. – Jan 20 1885. Serial number 23XX9. This rifle is in good condition with the exception of usage dents and dings on the forend, moderate dent on the butt stock and scattered light pitting on the outside of the barrel, action and butt plate. Please Note: there is a small chip of wood missing from the forend on the front left side. The length of pull is 13”, overall length is 45”, weight is 9.2 lbs.
