This is a Mauser K98 bolt action rifle chambered in 8MM Mauser. It features the original barrel with the front sight, a Weaver 330 scope, and sporterized stock. This rifle has be refinished with a brilliant deep blue and has had the bolt polished. The stock is a very nice Monte Carlo stock with checkering and a rubber buttpad. The rear sight mount is there so a person could easily take it back to iron sights. There are still proof marks very visible on the barrel and receiver. This is a very nice example of a vintage hunting rifle or could be returned to a factory stock.
