This auction is for a beautiful WWII Springfield (SA) M1 Garand that was manufactured around the earlier part of 1942.
The barrel stamp is marked with S-A-4-42 "Upside Down", along with a "Punch" mark that indicates it's one of the markers of being an original barrel. The SER# 452545 (Jan 1942). Produced just after Pearl Harbor Dec 7th 1941.

The rifle has a beautiful BOYD's walnut stock with a very tight lockup. Re-parked finish on both receiver & barrel. Both usage readings gauging at TE = 2 (Throat) & ME = 2+ (Muzzle).
