We have am amazing example of a true combat rifle from WWII!  This is a large ring small shank 8mm Mauser with ammo.

With it's high figured maple (?) stock and lack of surface rust (just age-appropriate patina), you won't find a better example outside of a museum. 

Has it been shot?  Of course...Has it been shot by me?  Of course, but the bore is bright and ready for more.

The one fly in the ointment is that the bolt is mismatched but with tight lock-up.

The upside is that it also comes with over 100 rounds of 1961 vintage Iranian 8mm Mauser ammo, so it's a complete ready-to-shoot package!
