Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade fixed to the barrel above the muzzle. The top of the receiver is serrated to help reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood featuring a finger-grooved forend, a capped semi-pistol grip, a straight comb and a Supreme  flexaable rubber buttpad. The rubber has hardened & shows hairline cracks The wood shows  some minor handling and storage marks.  The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad and 13 1/2” to the back of the buttplate.. The stocks are in Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Blued Barrel and Black Alloy Receiver

Finish Originality:  Original 

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 9 or 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light scuffs,  and handling marks. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The S.P.A. Luigi 48 AL Field Model is a 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun that was imported by Stoeger. It is a sporting shotgun that can be used for hunting or shooting clay birds, depending on the user’s needs. The shotgun has a humpback designe & light Alloy Receiver with a long recoial operation with a vent ribbed barrel..  It still retains a great bore and sound mechanics.
