Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated fixed blade that is dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch that is pinned and screwed to the top strap. 

Stock Configuration & Condition: The smoth rubber grips is two piece with Goncalo  Alves wood insert. The rubber shows a few light handling marks. The grip rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 9.5 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is a turn line through the finish on the cylinder. The metal shows a couple of light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions Correctly. The cylinder locks with a barely noticeable play on each chamber. We did not fire this firearm. We have cleaned this firearm and performed a mechanic's check but expect many will want to clean the firearm again depending on their standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver includes a Gray Ruger plastic box.  

Our Assessment: The Ruger GP100 is a double-action revolver manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co., an American firearms company. The GP100 was first introduced in 1985 in the second generation of the Ruger double action, exposed hammer revolvers intended to replace Ruger’s Security/Service/Speed Six handguns. It is known for its rugged construction and reliability, making it a favorite among both law enforcement officers and civilian shooters. The GP100 is chambered in various calibers, including .357 Magnum, .44 Special, 10mm Auto, .327 Federal Magnum, .38 Special, and .22 LR. Since its introduction, it has been produced with a number of variations including various barrel lengths and profiles, fixed or adjustable sights, and in blued carbon steel or stainless steel.

This example was manufactured in 1998 and is in Superb condition, showing little use. The GP100 was first introduced in 1985 and is known for its reliability, durability, and accuracy. This 6 shot stainless steel revolver has a 6” barrel, overall length of 11.5”, comes equipped with a comfortable rubber grip, has an adjustable rear sight and is chambered for .357 Magnum. This Ruger has a great bore, a well preserved satin stainless finish and tip-top mechanics. The Ruger GP100 is well-regarded for its robust construction, smooth trigger pull, and reliability.
