Our Assessment: This Raven Arms MP-25 is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered for .25 ACP rounds. Following the passage of the 1968 Gun Control Act the importation of “Saturday Night Specials” (inexpensive compact small-caliber handguns) was banned. What the law did not restrict was the domestic production of such firearms. George Jennings, who had been a machinist, founded Raven Arms in 1970 and began to manufacture his own compact small-caliber pistols. Raven Arms would be the progenitor of what came to be known as the “Ring of Fire” gun manufacturers, all with familial connections to Jennings. In 1991, the Raven Arms plant burned down, but the company re-emerged as Phoenix Arms soon thereafter. This  Black finished pistol is a Phoenix Arms Raven has some light handling wear and it is mechanically sound. This is one pistol with a fascinating history and will be a great conversation piece.  Please see our photos.
