Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot fixed to the slide above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the top rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black pcolymer.  The grip areas have been stippled over and the finger grooves have been removed. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Black Polimer Frame / Black Parkerized Rock Island Slide 

Finish Originality: Original for Re Build

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is well defined. There is NO erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.  The Slide was made by Rock Island Armory and is milled to reduce weight & disipate heat.  (see photos) It also has a stainless steel guide rod.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor handeling. The pins heads are unmarred. The markings are well defined. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. We have cleaned this firearm and performed a mechanic's check but expect many will want to clean the firearm again depending on their standards.

By 1982, the Glock 17 was indeed the sidearm of the Austrian military and today, the world. With a well-known reputation as a workhorse firearm and a great reliability record, this pistol will be equally good for target shooting and for self-defense. This Glock 17 Generation 3 is in Excellent overall condition in current configuration.  This gun was modified to enhance it shooting capabilities. It will make a great addition to any firearms collection.
