Sights / Optics: The front sight is a ramped blade with fluorescent yellow paint inset integral to the top of the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch screwed into the top of the slide with orange-painted insets and adjustment screws for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece black polymer panels contoured, grooved and screwed to the grip frame that has serrated front and back straps. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The grips are in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Black Powdercoat and Black Alloy

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear or damage, just some light handling marks. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This handgun comes with a plastic box and three (3) 8-round Hi-Point magazine with intact feed lips and strong follower spring. One magizne has a pinkie extension.

Our Assessment: The Hi-Point C9 is a single stack 9mm blowback operated pistol designed to be an entry-level pistol. The Hi-Point design philosophy is as simple as its products. They have everything you need and nothing you don't. They offer a durable, dependable pistol at a price point that is typically matched only by pistols which are neither durable nor dependable. Given that this is their intention, some allowances should be made for their appearance and ergonomics. The solid feel of this pistol utilitarian defensive firearm has started many on their journey of self-reliance and personal responsibility. It makes a great trunk gun.
