Jonathan Browning – Mountain Rifle - 54cal – Percussion – Stk# P-36-32
This .54 caliber percussion Mountain Rifle was manufactured in 1980 by Browning and has a browned octagon 1" x 30-1/2" x 1:66 twist barrel that is fitted with iron sights. The barrel has a "rolled" section of the left flat just about 6” in front of the breech plug. The bolster on the breech plug features a ram’s horn. The bore is in good to very good condition with very minor frosting in a few spots. The P grade Walnut stock is in good to very good condition with minor usage marks. Mounted to the stock is a mixture of German silver and steel furniture with a poured pewter nose cap. A browned Hawken percussion lock is activated by a single set trigger. The rifle has a Hickory ramrod with an extended jag. Length of pull is 13-3/4", Overall Length 46-7/8” Weight is 9.2 lbs. Very Good wood to metal fit. Condition: Good to Very Good.
