Kentucky (Ohio) – 40cal – Left Hand Percussion – A Osterman / AW Lenhart – Stk# P-36-48
This Left Hand .40 caliber (.380 round balls) Kentucky rifle was made in 1967 and has a 13/16" x 37"x 1:48 twist browned octagon hand rifled barrel is mounted with iron sights. The finish on the barrel has some wear marks. The bore is in very good condition with clean sharp rifling. The color case hardened percussion lock and metal work was done by a muzzle loading gunsmith, A Osterman from Oregon. The carved Walnut stock was hand crafted by AW Lenhart and is in very good condition with minor usage marks. The stock is mounted with tastefully engraved brass furniture including a pierced patch box. The color case hardened left hand percussion lock with A Osterman stamped on the plate is activated by double set triggers with A Osterman on the trigger plate. Made by A Osterman / AW Lenhart. Very good wood to metal fit. Overall condition is: Very Good. Length of pull is 13-1/4", overall length is 47-1/2”, and weight is 6.4 lbs.
