Well if anyone remembers the Ithaca Auto & Burglar 1920s and 1930s these were made in 20ga and 12ga smooth bore, basically sawed off shotgun. They were outlawed June 28, 1934 by the formation of ATF NFA. The Ithaca Auto and Burglar did have barrels less than 18 inch long and the entire firearms was not at least 26 inches overall so if not registered and the NFA stamp paid, it would then be illegal. Not many survived, likely many owners destroyed theirs instead of paying the NFA $200 stamp which was usually cost prohibited ( cost calculator shows $200 in 1934 the same as $4.689.18 in todays cost ) for many in the early 1900s. Production numbers were said to be below 5000 total.

Now Pedersoli's out of Italy has a Rebirth of an early 1900s design. AND you can own this without any extra steps, NFA waits, stamps, red tape. Transfers just like a normal handgun. It fires 45LC rounds and has a rifled barrel, just like the Judge or Governor models, but also was able to accept up to 3 inch 410 shotgun shells. Since it has rifled barrels, this is considered a pistol and completely legal to have 10 1/4 inch double barrels on a Federal level. This is a very nice firearms, with nickeling, bluing and engraving, imported from Italy. They made a lessor model, but if your already ready to purchase an elite item, why cheap out at the end.
