Ithaca - Crass Frame Variation - #5 Grade - 12ga - Two barrel Set – Stk# C558

This beautiful 12 Ga Ithaca Crass Frame Variation Hammerless Shotgun was manufactured in 1897 and features a 28” and 30” round barrel sets with gorgeous Damascus pattern and a front brass bead mounted on a matte rib. Both barrel sets come with their own identical checkered forend with Ebony inserts in the Schnabel. The bores in both barrel sets are in very good condition (closer to excellent). Both barrel sets have matching serial numbers. There is a small scratch on the left side by the breech on the 30” barrels. The 28” barrel set has a cylinder choke for both barrels and on the 30” set of barrels right is modified and the left is improved cylinder. The checkered P++ Walnut buttstock and forend are in good to very good condition with some minor usage dents and scratches on the butt stock. The exquisitely engraved action has retained most of the color case hardening and features murals of game birds and of bird dogs with “ITHACA GUN CO.” in the top of the scenes on both sides. The action locks up tight; with smooth operation. Mounted to the butt stock is the original “ITHACA GUN” Butt plate. This shotgun is overall in very good condition. The length of pull is 12-5/8” left trigger and 13-5/8” right trigger. Overall length is 46”, weight is 7.4 lbs. Our stock number is C558.
