A. Korinski – Antique –16 Gauge – Underlever – Double Hammerless – Stk# C561
This original 16 Ga Double barrel Hammerless Shotgun was made by Anton Korinski before 1898 with 30” Damascus tapered round barrels with a brass bead front sight mounted to the matted rib. Manufacture information is stamped on matted rib and reads “A. Korinski Erlangen”. Both barrels have lost most of their finish and have minor usage marks. The bores are good condition with minor pitting in a few areas on both barrels. The hand carved and checkered P grade Walnut buttstock, with a left side cheek piece, and forend are very good with minor usage dents and scratches. Both the underlever and trigger guard are hand carved from horn. The trigger guard has a small crack in the front of the loop. The very tastefully engraved action locks up tight; with smooth operation and is activated by a single set trigger for the right barrel and a normal trigger for the left barrel. The animals on both sides of the action are inlayed in Sterling Silver. Mounted on the tang is a functioning outside safety with “Sicher” in gold lettering above it. There is a set of sling swivels mounted to the barrel and butt stock. This shotgun is overall in good to very good condition. The length of pull is 12-1/2” left trigger and 13-1/2” right trigger. Overall length is 46-1/4”, weight is 6.2 lbs.
