This firearm is a Para Ordnance model of P14.45 chambered in 45 ACP. These firearms are part of what served as the first sect of double stack 1911-style firearms to be commercially successful. This firearm has a 5” barrel, grooved front and back strap, enlarged safety selector, a custom style of feed ramp similar to the Wilson/Nowlin where the feed ramp is part of the barrel rather than the frame, and a full length guide rod. The Canadian made examples are known to be of higher quality than other models later produced in the US after Remington/Freedom Group purchased the company in the 2000’s and moved production.
