The Prodigy Comp from Springfield Armory® takes the proven 1911 platform and enhances it with double-stack capacity and a performance-driven feature set. Reconfigured around a double-stack magazine, the polymer grip module mounts to a forged steel frame, offering capacities of 17+1 and 20+1. The AOS-compatible slide and barrel assembly is integrally compensated to reduce muzzle rise, while a Picatinny rail is ready to accept today's most popular accessories. The Prodigy Comp combines the most beloved characteristics of the 1911 with modern capacity for unrivaled performance. The 5-inch bull barrel on the Prodigy Comp is crafted from forged stainless steel for match-grade accuracy and features an integral compensator. From its flush-fitting 17-round magazine to the extended 20-rounder — both included standard with the pistol — the Prodigy Comp will never come up short on capacity. The Prodigy Comp employs AOS (Agency Optic System) plates that accept today’s most popular optics.

INTEGRAL COMPENSATOR

The integral compensator on the Prodigy Comp is discreetly designed, featuring a single port on the top of the hammer-forged slide and barrel. By redirecting gas upwards, it reduces muzzle rise and enhances control allowing for faster and more accurate follow-up shots. Additionally, the tritium front sight is positioned behind the compensator to ensure an uninterrupted sight picture.

HANDGUN CASE INCLUDED

A double-zipper case is included with each Springfield Armory handgun. The soft-sided shell ensures the firearm and mounted accessories are protected during transportation, while an interior pouch can hold an additional magazine.

After purchasing a firearm, if you discover any issues or problems with the firearm, please refer to the Manufacturer's Warranty. If you need assistance with returning a firearm to the manufacturer for warranty work/repair Tucson Equestrian Trading Post will be glad to assist you.
When "Special Order Firearms" cannot be transferred, (a background check cannot be successfully completed), a restocking fee of 15% applies. The refund, less restocking fee, will be issued 14 days after final background check disposition.

Here is our process of purchasing a firearm with us:

1. You need to have current AZ Driver License with correct address and be 21 for handgun purchases. 18 for long guns. If you are 18 - 20 years of age, a mandatory federal 10 day waiting period applies

Expired Driver’s License will not be accepted.

2. You pay for the firearm

3. We run a background check

4. If the background check is delayed, we keep the payment until background check clears

5. If you do not clear background check within 5 BUSINESS days you will get a refund of you purchase price.
