Custom – Plains Rifle – Heavy barrel – 50 caliber – Percussion – Stk# P-36-65

 

This 50 caliber Custom Plains Rifle was made in the 1960’s with an in the white Bill Large 36” x 1-7/16 – 1-3/8” tapered octagon barrel with 1:60 twist. Mounted to the barrel is a front globe sight. The tang is drilled & tapped for a rear sight. The metal is in good condition. The bore is in very good condition with clean sharp rifling. The Walnut half stock is in very good condition with some handling and usage marks throughout. This rifle is mounted with all brass furniture and a poured pewter nose cap. The brass trigger guard is cracked and has been soldered.  The engraved polished Joseph Golcher lock does not have a half cock and is activated by double set triggers. Overall condition is: Good. The overall Length is 52-1/4”, Length of pull is 14-1/4”, and the Weight is 14.6 lbs.

Please Note: The lock does not have a half cock. The trigger guard is cracked on the back side of the loop and has been soldered.
