Here for sale on consignment is a rare piece of Smith & Wesson and Law Enforcement history. This unfired Smith & Wesson 19-5 is chambered in 357 Magnum with a 6-shot cylinder. This revolver sports the 2.5" barrel with an adjustable rear sight and blacked out front sight with anti glare grooves. The finish on this revolver is the matte blue finish which was typically seen on law enforcement revolvers in this time. The grip/stock of the revolver is the original wood round butt grips that were standard on this gun. According to the consignment owner and the appearance of this revolver, it is stated to be unfired beyond the original factory test fire.
Included with the revolver is the original Smith & Wesson box with the manual, warranty card, cleaning kit, and protective paper. The markings on the box can be seen in the above photographs and are listed as follows:
Model No: 19
Caliber: .357
Barrel: 2 1/2
Finish: B
Stock: RB
Features: CTState (Some sources say this revolver came from the run which was produced for the Connecticut State Police, others say the CT will refer to the Combat Trigger. Smith & Wesson was unable to provide clarification on this designation.)
Serial Number: AYY1275
Product Code: 100728
Spec. Ord.: 8223
This revolver remains unfired and in excellent condition as can be seen in the above photographs. There are some slight handling marks on the cylinder, and a couple small marks on the right side of the frame, but these are minor and do not detract from the overall appearance.
For any S&W, law enforcement, or revolver collector, this is a piece that you cannot pass up.
