Markings: The top of the action is marked, “CARL GUSTAFS STADS GAVARSFACTORI / 1916” The side of the receiver is marked, “HK 400004” The floor plate is marked, “004” All bolt parts are marked, “004” The barrel band and end cap are marked, “004” The buttplate is marked, “004” There are various proofs throughout.

Barrel Length: 29”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a bladed post set atop a small base with protective wings. The rear sight graduated between 300-600 meters. The sight is used with the ladder in the down position. The sight is adjusted by moving the slide on the ladder. The slide is locked in position by the slide catch.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a wood two piece Mannlicher set with a steel nose piece/bayonet lug, barrel band w/ sling loop, sling passthrough with leather buckle, stock range plate, straight wrist, straight comb, with steel buttplate.

Type of Finish: Blued.

Finish Originality: Original finish Bore

Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is in good shape for a Rifle built in 1916. There is no pitting, no rust, and no crown erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates at a 9/10.

Overall Condition: Excellent Condition. There is faint thinning and light wear on the leading edges. The front sight shows some wear.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.

Overall, this rifle would make an excellent collectors piece.
