The Glock 34 is fairly light in weight for its size, even when bumped up to the 18 round magazine and fully loaded. The balance is distinctly top heavy, as many polymer framed pistols are, especially when the gun is unloaded. This is not to be considered a disadvantage, as many shooters find that it makes the gun more “point friendly”. The Glock grip position has been the subject of hot debate for a long time. While significantly steeper than what had previously been considered “the gold standard” of the 1911, many shooters feel that it allows their wrist to lock into a more consistent position, making target acquisition more friendly.
