The Kel-Tec SU-16C, also known as the Charlie model, is a versatile and compact semi-automatic rifle that is well-suited for a variety of uses from survival scenarios to casual shooting and even home defense. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and can also accommodate .223 Remington ammunition, which adds to its versatility. The rifle features a unique underfolding stock which allows it to be easily transported and stored compactly. When folded, the rifle measures about 25.5" in length, making it particularly suitable for being stashed in a vehicle or a large backpack for quick deployment.
