This rugged design is anchored by a 7075-aluminum alloy grip module, which is coated with a type 3 hard anodizing and then precisely fit to the CNC machined stainless steel subframe, which is coated with DLC. This perfect alignment of components then fits our proprietary stainless steel slide that features a Kimber-specific Coyote PVD Finish. And DLC on the introductory model slide glistens like a black diamond. The 5R Rifling on the 5-inch barrel delivers remarkable accuracy and is DLC-coated to resist wear.
