This is an Italian Carcano model 1891 "Calvary Carbine" bolt action rifle in 6.5X52mm caliber. It has a 17.7" barrel, open sights, plain straight grip stock, spike bayonet, sling attachments, and steel buttplate with trapdoor. This rifle has quite a bit of finish wear and some pitting on the external metal surfaces. The bore is pitted as well.
