Originally introduced in 1936, the Model 70 is one of the most popular sporting rifles in America and was given the title of "Bolt-Action Rifle of the Century" by Shooting Times magazine. The rifle features Winchester's MOA trigger and free-floated barrel for excellent accuracy out of the box. The rifle is also designed around the popular pre-'64 style controlled round feed system with a claw-type extractor for improved reliability in adverse conditions.
The Super Grade Maple series features a high-gloss, Grade AAAA Maple wood stock with an ebony forearm tip and a polished blued receiver and barrel finish. This model is chambered in 6.5mm Creedmoor and features a 22-inch barrel and a 5-round magazine capacity.
