For sale is a Springfield 1898 chambered in .30-40 Krag. The rifle was manufactured in 1901 but shows its age with its patina. There are some scratches and some surface to accompany the patina look. This 1898 has unfortunately been sporterized from its original design. The rifle functions well by has and the “Trapdoor” opens and closes without issues. This 1898 has a fixed front sight with a fixed peephole rear sight. The rifle comes as shown with no box or papers.
