This Whitney Safety 12 Ga Hammerless Double Barrel shotgun chambered in 2-¾” shells has 28” browned Damascus tapered round barrels. Mounted on the rib is a bead front sight. The barrels have heavy finish wear. On the left barrel there is some light pitting above the forend. The right barrel has some dents which can be seen inside the barrel. The bore has some scattered pitting. The checkered Walnut butt stock with a pistol grip and checkered grip safety has some chipping on the toe. An unrepaired hairline crack extends from the toe to the trigger guard. On the right side of the butt stock at the top of the receiver are two cracks. The butt stock has scattered scratches and dings. Stamped on the right side of the browned receiver is Whitney Safety Fire Arms CO and on the left side Florence Mass. Pat Sept. 2 1884. The checkered Walnut forend has three gouges on the right side and scattered scratches and dents throughout the forend. Slivers of wood are missing from both sides of the forend. The Whitney Safety Firearms Co is stamped in a circle on the checkered horn butt plate that has a 1-½ “chip missing on the bottom left side. Please Note: This shotgun is being sold AS IS. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 44”, and weight is 7.6 Lbs.
