This .69 caliber Military pistol, circa 1840's, possibly made for Swiss military use, has a tapered octagon to round 1-1/4" to 13/16" x 7" smooth bore barrel fitted with a blade front sight. Belgium proof marks are stamped on the left side of the barrel. The bore is smooth, shiny without pitting.The European Walnut stock is sound and mounted with a mix of brass and steel furniture, including a butt cap fitted with a lanyard ring. The large half round faced military percussion lock is activated by a single trigger. Please Note: All components are stamped with an inspector's proof mark.
