Very rare Springfield 87M 22 Training rifle. This is #8 of only 300 made. J Stevens Arms Co Chicopee Falls Mass USA. The rear of the stock under the butt plate has 8 as well as the back of the butt plate. This gun was called a Gill Gun or Clicketey Clack. Bore is in very good condition and the rifle is in extremley nice and original, with sling. Tube fed mag or single shot. Has some minor rust spots and handling marks but overall exceptional for its age and history.
